Dear Collectors,

We're delighted to announce the arrival of two remarkable new works by Michael B. Karas. This stunning pairing reminds us that paradise might not be as far away as we think. With every glance, these pieces offer a quiet escape to the shoreline, a reminder of why we seek the coast and why we treasure the feeling of bringing it home.

Beachside Reverie by Michael B. Karas, 22.5 x 34.5 in, oil on canvas

A Love Letter to the Sea

These beachscapes, while contrasted in color and perspective, offer a glimpse into why we are drawn to the coast. White quartz sand and blue, foaming water remind us to slow down. The sun's descent across the horizon and the ocean's constant ebb and flow invite us to stand still and simply see.

My favorite aspect of Karas's work is its restraint. Both paintings portray the shoreline in perfect stillness, undisturbed by the presence of people or wildlife. The result is absolute tranquility. It isn't often that we have a stretch of sand all to ourselves, but these paintings preserve that rare feeling, allowing us to experience it each time we walk by.

Beach Paradise by Michael B. Karas,  24 x 30 in, oil on linen, mounted

Karas captures the sea in a way a camera never can. His paintings are more than faithful representations, they recreate the feeling of standing at the water's edge. Upon close viewing, one can almost hear the wind moving across the water and the gentle rhythm of the waves meeting the shore.

Perhaps that is why these works are so compelling. They don't merely depict the coast; they bring its atmosphere into the surrounding space, offering a sense of calm long after leaving the beach.

An Invitation

I would be remiss if I didn't urge you to experience these works in person. The brushstrokes, the subtle shifts in color, every nuance that makes these paintings so extraordinary can only be fully appreciated firsthand.

Beach Paradise and Beachside Reverie are currently on view in the gallery alongside an exceptional collection of original works. If you would like to schedule a private viewing or discuss either piece in greater detail, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We hope to welcome you soon.
