For the gallery, summer is a time of reflection and renewal. For our artists, it is a time to travel, refine, and reemerge with a new perspective.

As we prepare for the season ahead, new paintings are beginning to arrive in the gallery. We have the honor of sharing the new work this summer has inspired and, for the first time, offering it to you.

European Memories

Rome Promenade by Brent Jensen, 48 x 36 in, oil on canvas

Brent Jensen has the ability to materialize memory. His paintings feel familiar, each scene inviting us into his experience of place.

There is a romantic elegance to Jensen's work that makes it particularly beautiful to live with. The buttery yellows of sunlight bouncing off old buildings and the glimpse of a brilliant blue sky bring warmth not only to this piece, but the entire room its placed in.

Perhaps that is why his work is so compelling. You're not simply living with a painting; you're living with the feeling it brings.

Paris Café Le Métro by Brent Jensen,  24 x 30 in, oil on canvas

While the last painting imbues a room with warmth, here, sunlight is the subject itself. The sun permeates this piece in a way that no photograph can convey.

If you are looking to add brightness and joy to your collection, this is the one. The dappled sunlight surrounding the composition gives the impression that this piece glows from within.

This is a work that must be experienced in person.

Coastal Calm

Beach Grass at Golden Hour by Michael B. Karas, 10 x 12 in, oil on mounted linen

In these two paintings, Michael B. Karas captures our favorite summer scene: the moment day turns to night.

This fleeting moment brings peace in its stillness. Karas' work contains a sense of awe that can silence a room. For a collector looking to bring calm and coastal elegance into their home, these pieces do exactly that.

Coastal Calm by Michael B. Karas, 10 x 12 in, oil on mounted linen

Michael B. Karas's artistry doesn't end at the edge of the canvas.

Each painting is framed in birchwood, hand-carved by Karas himself. His gold-leaf detailing complements the setting sun, while the ivory linen lining gives the piece space to breathe.

The frame becomes a work of art in itself.

Garden of Peonies

Crowned in White by Tatyana Klevenskiy,  30 x 60 in, oil on canvas

Tatyana Klevenskiy's photorealistic portraits of peonies are rendered with such precision they begin to feel ethereal.

Klevenskiy captures each flower at its most spectacular: in bloom.

This moment is also the most fleeting. The painting allows us to hold onto it, turning something temporary into a feeling we can live with forever.

Glow from Within by Tatyana Klevenskiy, 32 x 48 in, oil on canvas

There is something incredibly peaceful about Tatyana Klevenskiy's work. In her practice, she joyfully plays with scale, enlarging her subjects and inviting us to become immersed in the beauty of something we might otherwise pass by.

The soft whites and hushed tones of this piece create a serene presence that's lovely to live with. Quiet yet impactful, it brings a sense of calm to a room without disappearing into it.

Your Invitation

They say the best things come in twos, and I think these pairings prove that to be true once again.

I invite you to experience the new work on the walls, alongside the familiar favorites that keep you coming back. Like the moments they capture, these paintings can be fleeting. Come experience them while they are still ours to share.

Thank you for reading and sharing in our love of art. Your support allows Thomsen Fine Art to exist as more than just a gallery - it becomes a place for connection, discovery, and inspiration.
